Back-to-School Update

There are a few events applicable to homeschool parents coming up here in Iowa City area.


Jo Ann Fabrics is hosting their Teacher Appreciation Days Saturday & Sunday, August 14th & 15th. If you aren't already signed up for their teacher rewards program, there is more information at Joann.com/teachers

Staples is hosting their Teacher Appreciation on August 21st.

Both companies extend their teacher appreciation programs to homeschooling parents. If you hear of any other events like this, please pass the information along and I will share it here.

The Iowa City Homeschool Assistance Program will be having registration from August 16th -18th at the Homeschool Assistance Center located behind Northwest Junior High at 1507 8th Street in Coralville. If you need more information e-mail Dan McRoberts at mcrobert.dan@iccsd.k12.ia.us


Also Save the Date September 26th on your calendar. The Iowa City Secular Homeschool Group will be hosting a potluck at the Saddlebrook Clubhouse from 1 - 4:30 p.m. I will post more information later next week but we are thinking of doing a curriculum swap if we have enough interest.
